  2. This directory contains sources and binaries of Atari variant of gdb.
  3. gdb is source level debugger for gcc (GNU - Free Software Foundation)
  4. compiler.  Currently this is version 2.6 - patchlevel 17.  This
  5. version has a number of improvements over previous releases.  In
  6. particular deals much better, though still not perfect, with programs
  7. compiled under -mshort option.  It is also much more stable than ever
  8. before.  Moreover it handles executables compiled with gcc 2.1 (to
  9. appear on atari.archive RSN) - even with -O2 option.  Please replace
  10. your older gdb with this one.  Full documentation is included in both
  11. archives (info file with binaries and texinfo sources with sources).

  13. Please note that gdb is still changing and although right now
  14. it is very useable program modifications and improvements are to
  15. be expected in a rather short time.  Jwahar Bammi is a main force
  16. behind this excellent work.  Thanks!
